The Fox and Geese, medieval hunting game

This game descends from the ancient Nordic game called Halatafl, derived itself from Hnefatafl, and was mentioned in the Libro de los juegos as De Cercar the Liebre. The aim of the game is different for the two players, like a hunting simulation.

The board game is crafted down to the finest detail, in fact it’s made in etched wood and marquetry. It’s supplied with:
– disk-shaped pieces decorated with lines combined with a dot motif in aged silver and bronze plated
– a leaflet telling the story of the game, the rules and an image from texts, paintings or graffiti of the same period.

Measures 40 x 40 x 2 cm; game pieces 2 cm approx.
